A Message of Gratitude and Hope: Superintendent Chen’s Winter Break Reflections

Dear Robla Community,

As we approach the close of 2024, a season of gratitude and celebration, I would like to take a moment to express my sincere appreciation and extend warm wishes to every member of the Robla community—our dedicated staff, esteemed educators, supportive families, community partners, and talented students. The strength of our school district lies in the dedication, involvement, and collaboration of everyone working together to maintain the excellence of our schools. Your contributions make a meaningful impact every day. It has been a true joy to see our students actively engaged in learning, both in the classroom and on the playground. The bright smiles of students, staff, and parents/guardians during our winter festivals were especially heartwarming. Thank you for all that you do!

I am deeply grateful to our dedicated teachers and staff, talented students, engaged parents and guardians, and devoted community partners for your unwavering support and collaboration in strengthening our schools and students. Let us celebrate the heart, strength, and compassion that each of you brings to our community.

Thank you for taking the time to complete our California Community Schools Partnership Program Survey. Your feedback will play a crucial role in our application process and, if awarded, will help shape the direction of our work moving forward.

Our 15-day attendance challenge is nearing its conclusion, and I’m thrilled to announce the winning school after the break. Thank you for your continued support in ensuring our students attend school regularly. Your dedication is truly appreciated.

Just a quick reminder: if your family still needs after-school care, please visit our website or contact your school for more information. We are currently serving nearly 1,000 students and offer flexible care options at all school sites until 6:00 PM—whether you need care for just 30 minutes or longer. It is a privilege to serve as your superintendent, and I look forward to all we will accomplish together in the upcoming year. Wishing you a holiday season filled with warmth, joy, and peace. Whether you're celebrating with loved ones or enjoying a well-deserved break, I hope you find plenty of moments to relax and recharge. I’ll see you back at school on Monday, January 6th.

Warm regards,

Eileen Aguba Chen
