As students head back to school, the Sacramento Regional Transit District (SacRT) wants
to remind everyone that students/youth in transitional Kindergarten through 12 th grade can
ride the entire SacRT transit network, including SacRT buses, light rail, and SmaRT Ride
on-demand microtransit service, for FREE!

HOW TO RIDE:
- All school districts have been provided with RydeFreeRT cards for students in grades
TK-12th. - New cards have a valid date from June 1, 2023, through June 30, 2024.
- Youth who are experiencing homelessness or taking part in foster programs are
eligible. - For students and youth who need a RydeFreeRT card, visit SacRT’s Customer
Service and Sales Center located at 1225 R Street (adjacent to the 13 th Street light rail
station) or Sacramento Public Libraries.
