School Rules & Policies

ROBLA SCHOOL DISCIPLINE POLICY AND PHILOSOPHY
 
We believe that belonging to a safe, caring learning community is central to fulfilling our mission to help children become knowledgeable, responsible and caring citizens. All students are important, accepted and respected.  Our school motto is The Robla Spirit Rises which means that in times of difficulty, we work hard, persevere and always give our best effort.  We follow PBIS which is Positive Behavior Interventions and supports. The students are to behave The Mustang Way which incorporates the 4RsThe 4Rs are Respect, Responsibility, Ready to Learn and Really Safe.
General School Rules
 
  • Be Respectful and Responsible and follow teacher and staff directions
  • Be Ready to Learn and be a good citizen
  • Be Ready to Learn and give your best effort
  • Be Ready to Learn and focus on classwork
  • Be Respectful and be caring and kind to everyone
  • Be Really Safe and Responsible and keep hands to yourself
  • Be Respectful and only say nice things to everyone
  • Be Really Safe and do not run in hallways, classrooms or cafeteria
  • Be Really Safe and use crosswalks when going home
  • Be Really Safe and do not ride bikes, scooters or skate boards on campus
  • Be Respectful with cell phones. If brought to school, THEY MUST STAY IN BACKPACKS AND OFF - if they are not, they will be taken away and parents will be required to pick them up
Suspendable Behaviors
 
  • Disruptive/defiant behavior on campus or on the bus
  • Attempt, cause or threaten physical injury
  • Possession/use of firearm, knife, explosive or other dangerous object
  • Possession, use, sale or under the influence of a controlled substance
  • Theft or attempt to steal school or private property
  • Use or possession of tobacco
  • Committed an obscene act or engaged in profanity or vulgarity
  • Leaving school or class without permission
  • Engaged in sexual harassment (Grades 4 - 6)
  • Engaged in gang activity
  • Engaged in hate violence
Privileges

IMPORTANT NOTE - Privileges such as field trips, assemblies or ANY other school activities may be taken away for student misconduct.
 
Consequences
 
If a student does have misconduct, the following will take place:
 
  • Warnings/Possible Parent Contacts
  • Detentions/Parent Contact - If behaviors continue more detentions may/will be given.
  • Suspensions/Parent Contact - If behaviors continue more suspension days may/will be given. Behavior Plan may be created.
  • If warranted, expulsion.
